Aww, man… I’ve seen so much DB:E bashing, I just can’t join in anymore. I mean, it’s just cruel at this point…

Do you mean Kemonono★? (Yeah, the star at the end is required.) Excellent stuff. He’s the guy behind Cat Wife that everyone on the chans talked about for a while. His other book was put out by Core Magazine, I believe, and we primarily license books from Akaneshinsha. But who knows, things may change down the road…

Maybe they don’t think they can compete with book chains on manga. Or maybe they don’t care about Yen Press. Either way, they don’t want that business. Nothing personal, no hard feelings… just gotta shop elsewhere for your Yen Press books, then. Likewise, you get to to say to them “hey, I’m shopping at another store with a better selection.”

That’s ultimately the same between Diamond and DM shops, as far as *most* manga are concerned. There are plenty of other options. I’m only truly concerned when such news involve pamphlet comics and smaller pubs… a Diamond rejection is usually a death knell for a comic series.

My local comic store (the closest, at least) actually doesn’t stock any Yen Press books at all, since forever.
