There seems to be an extra-ordinary amount of crapulence floating around the bowels of blogdom lately, like comics news’ own journalistic equivalent of an Anna Nicole Smith sensationalist dogpile. But oh no, you won’t hear it from me. I won’t sink to that level. I’m not going to tell you about this or this. I have standards. Instead, I’m going to focus on mostly positive things going on. And pr0n. That always cheers me up.
…okay, okay, I’ll admit it. I had no good segway into those stories. They’re just generally depressing, really.

In actual eromanga news, ANS reports that Keito Koume’s (å°æ¢…ã‘ã„ã¨) Kafun Shoujo Chyuuihou (花粉少女注æ„å ±!, also known as The Pollinic Girls Atack!) will get its own original video animation. Should be quite an ambitious undertaking from a technical viewpoint, considering the number and scale of orgy scenes in that book.
Keito Koume is currently collaborating with Kio Shimoku on the Genshiken spin-off manga, Kijibiki Unbalance.

Generally, I avoid most good manga reviews… I just end up spending more money that way. But here’s one I was going to pick up anyways, so here’s one on Del Rey’s Mushishi by David Welsh at CWN.

Cold Cut adds another BL manga publisher to their list of vendors… DramaQueen books are now being offered to retailers at 40% discount (which matches the “H” discount you’d get from Diamond.)

I feel bad for the kids in Tanzania.

Via Journalista, Asia Times uses the recent Angouleme Comics Festival as a backdrop for its analysis of manga’s rise in Europe, going back to the first anime being released in Spain and France in the 1970s, and how domestic European publishers are coping with the influx of foreign material now… through assimilation.
Yes, manga = The Borg.

And finally, just to show you that I haven’t forgotten this is really a pr0n blog and we publish pr0n manga, I just turned in Comic AG issue 54 to the printer today, which guarantees a ship date that is one day ahead of Diamond’s order cancellation deadline. We live to exploit another day!
In this issue, we’ve got the debut of Syowmaru’s Please Miss Yuri, plus Tanuki Kamogawa, Yoshitatsu Kiichigono, and Yumisuke Kotoyoshi. Another nice issue… have we ever disappointed?

I don’t know about anyone ELSE, but I’m looking forward to “The Pollinic Girls Attack” when it comes out! I’m hoping they can do the manga justice…^^’
