Highly probable licenses!

It’s time to play another round of “which indefensible manga has Icarus licensed this time?”

  • 070717_newlicense_01.jpg We’ve had this one for a while, just never announced it on the site…
  • 070717_newlicense_02.jpg A returning artist…
  • 070717_newlicense_03.jpg This one is for the meganekko lovers.
  • 070717_newlicense_04.jpg Armpit!
  • 070717_newlicense_05.jpg Also licensed a while back, just now getting the manuscripts.
  • 070717_newlicense_06.jpg More armpit!
  • 070717_newlicense_07.jpg At least the artist should be familiar to you all…

We were originally planning to show off these titles at SDCC to great fanfare, with booth babes, free giveaways, and a laser light show.  Then I remembered we’re not attending SDCC.

If you can guess all of these books, then… you’re probably better suited to be editor of Icarus than I.

We’ve actually snagged up every Tuna Empire license we can get at the moment. Some books aren’t appropriate for publication here (IMHO), while some other titles we’re going to have to wait until the rights revert back to the artist. We could license them from the publisher right now, but if we wait the artist would get more money…

  8. and #1 would be (Going by the english title on the front cover) The Ultimate sexy girl is up to pleasure in school by Fuji Katsupiko.

Simon, where does Kaze Nani Kyoushitsu stand? That’s definately one that I can’t wait to see in English.

You know, Simon, if you published any other sort of books, I’d be pitching a hissy right now, but, rather, I only feel sad for what the American market is making us miss out on. SAD, DAMNIT!

I assume you’re referring to “Manga Naze Nani Kyoushitsu”? Yeah, that’s not going to happen until a certain administration is out of the White House, and a certain terror organization is wiped out.

I’m too pretty to go to jail.

  11. I was wrong…?! Can’t Icarus just license Katsupico and make me right anyway?

I’m gonna’ have to agree with you Simon. I like nasty stuff as much as everyone else who likes reading these things. We do have our first amendment rights to free press and all that jazz but some people just don’t need to see some of the things that are still burned on to my retinas o_0

p.s. any chance of an “Icarus Publishing Forum”?

  14. Nah. Nobody here wants to deal with setting up and maintaining a forum…
